Harrington Moving & Storage Volunteered in the Valerie Fund Walk
Leading moving and storage company Harrington Moving & Storage recently participated in this year’s Valerie Fund Walk.

Harrington Moving & Storage recently participated in the 2012 Valerie Fund Walk that took place on June 9. Valerie Fund is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide support for the comprehensive healthcare of children with cancer and blood disorders.
Harrington Moving participated in the event by donating its moving and storage services. The company received, a week prior to the walk, items for the event to be stored at their Maplewood storage facility. The items included 3,000 bottled waters, 80 cases of T-shirts and over 3,000 bags of Herr’s Chips.
A day prior to the event, on June 8, Harrington Movers transported the goods to Verona Park. When the walk ended, Harrington Moving was on-site to load event items onto the company moving truck and deliver them to their final destination.
“Harrington Movers greatly contributed to the event’s success,” said Valerie Fund Walk organizer. “The company donated a lot of manpower and effort, we really thank them.”
The Valerie Fund Walk raised slightly over $1,000,000, and comprised of about 3,252 participants. The event consisted of a 5-Kilometer walk and prior to the event’s kickoff, JAG Physical Therapy, in partnership with the Valerie Fund, sponsored a 5-Kilometer run.
Harrington Moving has been an active participant in the Valerie Fund Walk for several years already. The company views its participation as a given.
